My Approach

So much of the success of therapy relies on the therapeutic alliance, or genuine connection between therapist and client.  Because I myself grew up believing in the stigma and the stereotypes of therapists, I seek to work with clients who struggle with the idea of asking for help. Instead of falling into the many stereotypes, including judgy, know-it-all therapists, or granola, spiritual, ultra woo-woo therapists, I approach clients and treatment as my true self—an upfront, sarcastic, funny chick who used to think therapy was BS, and now sees it as the key to a healthier lifestyle.  I want to share my knowledge and tools to help others overcome the stigma and find their healthiest, happiest selves.
