Lindsey grew up as the child of an enlisted Airman in the Air Force. Her father’s career moved she and her family all over the world, allowing her to appreciate various cultures in a way that may people never experience. She has lived in Las Vegas for 11 years and considers herself a local and is committed to serving and improving her community through her practice. She is married and has two small children. She enjoys being outdoors and believes in living a healthy lifestyle inside and out, which she has incorporated into the core beliefs of Fundamental Health.
Lindsey works with individuals, couples, families and children. She has experience with many evidence-based theories such as Narrative Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). As an MFT, she trained in Systems Theory, and understands the interconnections between relationships, multi-generational patterns, and how the role of society can play a part on an individual or relationship. With couples, she leans most on the Gottman Method.
Lindsey obtained a Bachelor’s degree from UNLV in 2012, with a major in Hospitality Management. After nearly a decade-long career in various aspects of hospitality on the Strip, she changed gears and received her Master’s degree in Marriage, Family and Child Therapy – a path that felt more fulfilling. She currently works as a Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) Intern, a Clinical Personal Counselor (CPC) Intern and has created her own title of The Life Performance Coach. As a state internee, she works under the supervision of a fully licensed MFT and CPC.
Lindsey has made it her mission to overcome the stigma that attending therapy carries with it. Having grown up with the belief that therapy implies that something is inherently wrong with a person, and overcoming that belief herself, she understands that the struggle of seeking help can be just as much of a burden as the issue at hand. She believes that finding the right therapist allows for the best and most time-effective treatment. For that reason, she has a very laid-back approach with clients, focusing most on creating an authentic connection to create a bespoke approach to treatment.
